Rayo Energy is a trading name of Value Optimised Retrofit Limited, registered in England & Wales, company no. 13226619. Registered office: Office 7, Bristol North Baths, Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8BN. That company is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

What we collect and why
When you contact us. If you use our enquiry form or email us, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the building or project you are asking about, and whatever you tell us about your requirements. We use this only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to carry out and deliver the work.
Our lawful basis is that processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us about work.
When you visit the site. Our website is hosted on WordPress.com, which records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. This is used to keep the site running and to understand roughly how it is used. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Analytics and search tools. We use analytics and search tools to understand which pages are visited, how the site appears in search results, and roughly where visitors come from. These record information such as pages visited, how long people stay, device and browser type, approximate location and the site you arrived from. This information is aggregated and used only to improve the site. It is not used to identify you, and we do not use it for advertising.
Fonts. The site loads its typeface from an external font service. When a page loads, your browser connects to that service, which may record your IP address.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to two years, so that we have context if you come back to us, and then deleted.
Records relating to completed work are kept for six years, which reflects how long a client may reasonably need the record and the period in which a claim could be brought.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing.
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Automattic, who host this website and handle form submissions, the providers of our analytics, search and font tools described above, and Microsoft, who provide our email. Where work is delivered alongside Value Optimised Retrofit, information may be shared internally within that company.
We will disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@rayoenergy.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
